CNN Primetime!!!

We landed on CNN's Screening Room, which was aired on CNN television nationwide! I co-directed the intro to this one w/ Peter Stoll, as well as worked on some of the other footage. Peter's accomplished quite a feat and I'm so proud of the team! Big ups to Peter Katz and Mindsign Facility in San Diego, as well as my team of filmmakers including Paolo, Peter S., Nate, and our subject, Brigitte Buny, for making all of this happen.

John Woo's Red Cliff Premiere

John Woo's Red Cliff Premiere, originally uploaded by Don Le.

John Woo in the flesh. He was gracious enough to premiere his amazing new film, "Red Cliff" in Orange County. It was a treat to finally meet him, after adoring all his previous action movies, including "Face Off", "The Killer", and "Hard Boiled". The man is a legend!

Music Video: A Soldier Never Dies

I hadn't produced a real narrative piece since "The Resistance" last year, but this was the first time producing a solo project this ambitious in so long. It was great testing grounds and I had an amazing team behind me, including my executive producers Henrietta and Daniel Han, my director Paolo Ongkeko, and D.P. Nate Fu. BIG thank you to Ralph & Ruthie Gutierrez for letting us use their compound for the marine compound scenes on the 2nd day of the shoot.

Overall, it was a 2 day shoot that I won't soon forget. We went into the battlezones and shot something everlasting w/ music stars like Vince Ayon, Jon B (Babyface / "Someone to Love"), and Battlecat (producer for Snoop Dogg, The Game, Xzibit). It was unforgettable and we hope to have the video done this November (mid/late). In the meantime, the rest of the pictures by our amazing BTS photographer Sarah Lee can be seen here:

SUMOOOOO!!!

WHO DOESN'T LOVE SUMO WRESTLERS?
They're amazingggg specimens of strength, fury, and calm.

Sumo is such a fascinating sport that couples tradition, culture, blood, sweat and tears into a culmination of power and passion. It was a sight for the senses to watch these incredible hulks take it to the max and show the world what they're made of.

Marie Digby LIVE!

I went on a jaunt w/ my friends to the Americana at the Brand in Glendale, and caught a performance w/ the one and only Marie Digby (Hollywood Records, Youtube sensation). The group All-4-One (OG!!! I swear!) performed before her, and sounded pretty good live. A great night of fun and music.

Also wanted to add that Marie has an amazing visual memory. She actually remembered me from the Thirteen Minutes Magazine interview we did w/ her & Adrian Zaw... Astounding!
