One of the most beautiful, vibrant weddings I've ever attended. It was a private affair for Peggy and Alee as they got hitched on a yacht alongside the Newport Beach harbor.
The wedding MC was John Paul DeJoria (Co-creator of Paul Mitchell + Patron), and he did a fabolous job livening up the activities. Above all, Peggy and Alee created a wonderful atmosphere where all the guests would remember the occassion for a great while to come.

Shari - Sergio Wedding
Shari and Sergio are great examples of sugar, spice, and everything nice... great people with humongous passion about who and what they are in life.
I shot them w/ my associate, Paolo Ongkeko, in Monterey at a executive golf course near the San Francisco area. It was a delightful destination wedding w/ memories overloaded, including their little groomsman Jordan who pretty much stole the show.
Truly, a wedding for the ages.

John Woo's Red Cliff Premiere
John Woo in the flesh. He was gracious enough to premiere his amazing new film, "Red Cliff" in Orange County. It was a treat to finally meet him, after adoring all his previous action movies, including "Face Off", "The Killer", and "Hard Boiled". The man is a legend!

Music Video: A Soldier Never Dies

I hadn't produced a real narrative piece since "The Resistance" last year, but this was the first time producing a solo project this ambitious in so long. It was great testing grounds and I had an amazing team behind me, including my executive producers Henrietta and Daniel Han, my director Paolo Ongkeko, and D.P. Nate Fu. BIG thank you to Ralph & Ruthie Gutierrez for letting us use their compound for the marine compound scenes on the 2nd day of the shoot.
Overall, it was a 2 day shoot that I won't soon forget. We went into the battlezones and shot something everlasting w/ music stars like Vince Ayon, Jon B (Babyface / "Someone to Love"), and Battlecat (producer for Snoop Dogg, The Game, Xzibit). It was unforgettable and we hope to have the video done this November (mid/late). In the meantime, the rest of the pictures by our amazing BTS photographer Sarah Lee can be seen here:

Marie Digby LIVE!
I went on a jaunt w/ my friends to the Americana at the Brand in Glendale, and caught a performance w/ the one and only Marie Digby (Hollywood Records, Youtube sensation). The group All-4-One (OG!!! I swear!) performed before her, and sounded pretty good live. A great night of fun and music.
Also wanted to add that Marie has an amazing visual memory. She actually remembered me from the Thirteen Minutes Magazine interview we did w/ her & Adrian Zaw... Astounding!

Wedding: Scott & Hiromi

My friend Nate and I shot a wedding over the weekend and it was truly a treat to watch these two get betrothed and spend the rest of their lives together. They were absolutely adorable and just great fun to be around. There was never a dull moment on this shoot. At the ceremony, they had a woman play a beautiful song on the flute that was lifted you to another level. All in all, an unforgettable ceremony between two very lovely people.

I did a photo shoot w/ my old buddy, Jason Finn, who is a great actor. I seriously mean that, too. He starred as one of the leads in "Freedom Writers" w/ Hilary Swank, Patrick Dempsey, and recording artist, Mario, and he just took the screen by storm. Check out the movie for his brave, harrowing performance. See if you can locate him on the poster... amazing stuff:

Lan Pham Photo Shoot
Lan Pham, my makeup artist Kirstin Ryan, and myself all went to a nearby nature retreat to get some splendid shots in nature. She wanted a shoot that was drenched in the spirit of forestry and I hope I did it for her. I wanted to shoot her in a way that was natural, vivid, and serene. Hopefully I did her justice.

Mama's Bday + Fourth Of July Party
The fourth of July bash at Don Vice's place was chill. After me and the GF and friends survived the snore-inducing Hollywood Bowl event with the famous (?) Jon Fogerty, which had 2 seconds of fireworks, we joined Vice and friends. Wish I coulda stayed longer and chillaxed, but for the time I was there, I got a few ok pix.
Celebrated my Mom's 4th of July bday at our favorite Dim Sum watering hole, Seafood Paradise in Westminster, CA. Dim sum was a bit whack today, which made no sense to me, but nevertheless, I got to take pictures of my family eating, which was pretty cool in and of itself:

Beaches!
Haven't been to the beach in a while, so it was a welcome pleasure to just kick back and take in the fresh air, cool water, and appreciate life's little things. For this picture, I laid on my back and shot at Uyen from the bottom. She told me I was upskirting her... but really, that makes no sense seeing as how she was wearing pants leggings.
BTW, if you haven't checked out the site yet... it's www.DonLePhotos.com
